Frequently asked questions
A few of the things people often ask before reaching out. If your question isn't here, please get in touch.
Where are sessions held?
All sessions are held virtually, so you can take part from anywhere in Ontario — from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
What are your fees?
A free 15-minute consultation, $175 for a 50-minute session, and $265 for a 75-minute session. Booking and invoicing are handled through Jane.
Do you bill insurance? Will I get a receipt?
I don't bill insurance directly, but you'll receive a receipt with everything needed to submit to your insurer, including my registration number with the Ontario College of Social Workers.
Is there a waitlist?
There's no waitlist at this time.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
That's something you come to feel over time. If you feel like your quality of life is improving in some aspect from therapy because of the authentic connection we build, that's a good sign we're a good fit.
Do I need EMDR or ART?
Not at all — these are approaches I may draw on for trauma, tailored to what each person needs, never a programme you have to sign up for. Whether they're a good fit is something we decide together.
Read more about EMDR & ART →Is what I share private and confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is private and protected under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the standards of my College. There are a few legal limits to confidentiality that I'm required to explain up front: if there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, if there is a concern for the safety of a child or a vulnerable person, or if records are ordered by a court. We'll talk through all of this together before we begin.

A free 15-minute consultation is the easiest first step. You can book it through Jane, or send a message and I'll be in touch.
